Our Town is a play about love and marriage, the essence of community, time and the sanctity of life and death. The play follows an average day in Grover's Corners New Hampshire and two families in their daily life. Through a collection of moments, guided by a stage manager we see the families live their lives, the children grow and get married, and finally pass on.

The Sound Design had two goals to building the world of Grovers Corners. The 1st design element was creating a soundscape of the town grounded in real regional sounds and blink and you miss it details. This included the 5:00 train passing by, native birds chirping, and wind chimes in the garden. The 2nd design element was a live musical ensemble that would play throughout the show. Featuring folk arrangements of music spanning from 1930s to 2024 as well as an original song by Isabella Knott, the musical ensemble played pre show and intermission music that would flow between the acts.
